Will Apple sell more iPads in the first twelve months after its release than the number of iPhones sold in the first year of that product? I think so. My friend Stef doesn't. So we've bet a steak dinner on it.
Apple sold 6.1 million original iPhones in the five quarters after its release in 2007. (Remember 2007? Seems so long ago now.) In the first 45 days of (US-only) iPad sales, it's sold 2m million units. And there's still 10+ months to go.
I can taste the steak now.
